后殖民主义翻译理论视角下的“零翻译”现象

On Zero Translation from the Perspective of Post-colonial Translation Theory

本文在国内对零翻译问题已有研究的基础上,尝试从后殖民主义翻译理论这一全新的视角来考察"零翻译"这一日益普遍的现象,得出结论:尽管零翻译在一定程度上有其存在的理据,但是我们更要清醒地认识到,零翻译中蕴藏着"翻译霸权"的因素,带有"文化侵略"的倾向,应该慎用零翻译,尤其是政府机构和公共媒体。最后,笔者建议对于零翻译应该采取"中文为体,西文为用"的态度。

This paper,on the basis of the existing research on zero translation,attempts to analyze this prevailing phenomenon from the perspective of post-colonial translation theory.It is concluded that despite the fact there is some reason for the existence of zero translation,it is needful to grasp the 'translation hegemony' and 'cultural invasion' behind it.Therefore,zero translation should be treated carefully and prudently,especially for governmental bodies and public media.In the end,the author suggests that people should adopt an attitude of 'Chinese as the priority,English as subordinate.'
