To investigate whether pilose antler have effect to alcoholic liver damages,we devide 90 Wistar rats into 38degree Pilose antler wine,38 degree distilled wine (experimental control) and normal control groups.The rats were administrated orally with 8.75g/Kg every day for 90 days.The internal organs were taken out for pathomorphalogical observation at the end of the test.The results showed that in pilose antler wine group,the productive rats of cloudy swelling and necrosis in liver cells were very low.So,no significant difference compare with the rates of normal control group.But,in 38 degree distilled wine group,the rates of the changes mentioned above were significantly higher than those of another two groups,and had liver fatty denaturation and interstitial fiber proliferation.Moreover,we also observed obvious liver kupffer cell proliferation of some animals in pilose antler wine group.The result suggest that Pilose antler has certainly protective function to alcoholic liverdamages.
