摘要
本文考察了戴思杰在《莫先生的飞行躺椅》中描写当今中国借用的各种小说体裁。多种体裁反映了所描写的情境中复杂甚至对立的现象。一方面,戴思杰的小说可以被读成西方传统中的流浪汉小说,异乡奇观小说,少数民族小说,荒诞的讽刺、骑士风度小说;另一方面,哪怕此书是用法语写成,它对现代中国的描写,则是一本十足的中国小说,继承了鲁迅的传统。
This study analyzes the different novelistic genres to which Dai Sijie resorts in creating his vision of contemporary China in Mr.Muo's Travelling Couch.The multiple genres reflect the complex,often opposing,nature of the country depicted.On the one hand,Dai's work can be read as a picaresque,exotic, ethnographical,absurd,satiric,or chivalrous novel in the Western tradition.On the other hand,it can be equally read as a Chinese novel(albeit written in French)in the tradition of Lu Xun,in its portrayal of modern China.
