After the analysis of the statistics in the important international,competitions,this paper shows that the free defenders can answer the serve and defend in the back row more successfullyand effectively than any other players,and the free defenders play an important role in calm- ness,encouragement and coordination.The paper also expotmds three points on training the free defenders.
