The conical column milling cutter of an equal helix angle cuts smoothly and with great efficiency and durableness, but it is difficult to manufacture the cutter for its blank is conical,and the lead of helix isn't constant when it has a constant helix angle ω.If the functional relation of the chief parameters is located it is easy to manufacture the cutter with numerical- ly controlled milling machine.In this paper,the author derives the functional relation and explains in detail the NC program- ming of the cutter's spiral slot and a few important problems in manufacturing process.
