The information query system of reservoir flood control is developed through incorporating MapObject, a powerful collection of embeddable mapping and GIS components from the ESRI′s geographic information system software with PowerBuilder platform. The information query system can zoom, pan, navigate, orient, query and analyze information on Electronic Map and so on, which can make information query more quick and direct and visualize the data of rain and water. An example shows that it is not only easy and fast, but also exerts sufficiently the advantage of managing and accessing database of PowerBuilder.
