Today, digitization has been the trend of the profile controlling system, and one key technique to realize this is to digitize the geometrical character of the free-form surface This article is about how to smoothen the rough data from measurement in the procedure of the digitization On the basis of analysis of the data character of laser-measurement and some principles of curve fairing methods, it expatiates the principle of circle-curvature method, one curve fairing method, and shows how to establish and optimize the object function At last it testifies the feasibility of the method by means of experiment
