随着对外开放和市场经济的发展，理想教育工作面临着越来越大的挑战。要守住思想宣传这块阵地，防止青少年成为资本主义腐朽思想的俘虏，就必须实现理想教育的科学化和具体化。这包括，一方面要用科学的说服教育的方法把马克思主义理论传授给受教育者，另一方面又要采用物质奖励和精神鼓励相结合的方针，引导受教育者投身于社会主义现代化建设的伟大实践，在实践中把马克思主义内化为自己的理想，并用它来指导自己的行为。

With the development of opening to the outside world and market economy, work of ideal education faces larger and larger challenge. To defend ideological propaganda, such a piece of position and prevent youngsters from becoming captives of capitalistic decadent ideology, we must make ideal education scientific and specific, which includes, on one hand, that we should use scientific method of persuasion and education to pass Marxist theo- ry on to education receivers, on the other hand, that we should use specific method of material reward and spiritual encouragement to guide education receivers to throw themselves into great practice of socialist modernization con- struction, transform Marxist theory into their own ideals and beliefs in practice and use it to guide their action.
