光突发交换是近几年出现的一种很有前途的光交换技术 ,比电路交换灵活 ,带宽利用率高 ,又比光分组交换易于实现。突发包的组装是光突发交换的关键技术 ,在很大程度上影响到光突发交换网络的性能。文中介绍了光突发包的格式 ,描述了交换网络中突发包组装所需的层次结构和功能结构 ,并给出了一种典型的生成算法。最后 。
Optical burst switching, or OBS, is a new and promising optical switching technology. In OBS, a burst has an intermediate granularity when compared with the basic switching units in circuit and packet switching. So OBS is more flexible than circuit switching and more feasible than optical packet switching. Burst assembly is one of the critical technologies of OBS, and will significantly affect the performance of networks. The format of burst in OBS is introduced in the paper. And the MAC layer and functional architecture of ingress edge router are described. Then a typical algorithm for burst assembly is given. Finally, some factors affecting the choice of assembly time are discussed.
