This paper presents the aplication of bimodal PE in cable sheath. As a new kind of material, bimodal PE combines the excellent process properties and good mechanical properties. Besides, it has excellent shrink resistance, abrasion resistance and weather resistance, which make in an ideal material for sheathing communication cables and optical fiber cables. Bimodal PE has a bright future.
