城市竞争力是城市对人流、物流、资金流、信息流的吸纳和扩散的能力 (进出的能力 )。竞争力的大小也越来越取决于其占有、处理与支配资源、资本和信息的能力。而城市的产业功能类型、创新能力和集群程度对城市的竞争力有着决定性的影响。要提升江苏城市的产业功能 ,建议培育城市高新技术创新和研发体系、现代服务业的市场服务 ,并积极推进产业空间转移 ,发展苏中和苏北的城市制造中心。

The urban competitive capacity is the ability to absorb and dispers ethe flows ofthe population, material, financeand informa tion, depending on the ability of occupying, managing and controllingthe resource, fund and information. However, the industrial function of the city, a s well as the industrialtype, innovation ability and the cluster develop ment have the decisional impacts on the competitivecapacity.
