ROPS/FOPS (Roll Over Protective Structure/Falling Object Protect Structure)are the devives installed on the outside of heavy duty vehicles,whose main function is to protect driver’s safety effectively when vehicles’roll over or falling object accidents occur. The calculating formula on how to calculate limiting load of ROPS/FOPS was deduced and the corresponding calculator program was worked out. The limiting load values of TY320 bulldozer’s ROPS/FOPS were calculated and the sequence of four plastic hinges was given.
