The progress of clinical and experimental studies in surgical comprehensive treatment of liver metastases from coloreclal cancer was reviewed. In order to treat the liver metastases from colorectal cancer more reasonably, the methods of repeat resection for recurrence after initial hepatic resection, transhepatic regional chemotherapy and interstitial treatments are recommended.
