The shortages of the original driving points and the layout of dryer gears of the second hand pa-per machine are discussed.The modification including the movement of the driving points,skipping part of the bridge gears and gear boxes and changing the reducers of the second and third section of dryers were carried out in order to resolve the over-speed running problem of DC motor.
