As a result, internet communication has emerged independent of real-life communication, offering people of the global village a brand-new channel of dialogue. While we are watching closely its side-effects, we should pay equal attention to the positive role this on-line communication has to play in interpersonal relationships. A positive use of this new form of communication as a supplement to real-life communication is conducive to an active, healthy interpersonal relationship.
