Environmental bearing capacity of land consists of land environment partition, population capacity and carrying capacity of city construction of land environment. Based on the analysis of land resource exploitation and utilization in Urumqi, the problems of land resource exploitation and utilization are discussed,and the land resource bearing capacity for the development strategy of economy and society according to the bearing capacity is proposed.
