The optimum tests were carried out for a drying system of a fast intelligent total moisture analyzer.The far infra-red radiation heating and drying method was selected to determine total moisture in the coal.The instrument has low cost,long service life,convenient operation and is unharmful. The instrument′s analytical precision meets the standard requirement of GB/T211-1996
