Join Hands to Revitalize the National Maritime Industry--A interview with Chen Huoxiang, CR President

台湾中国验船中心对于中国海事界而言,其印象一直比较模糊.为此,记者近期专访了该中心执行长陈获祥先生.陈执行长在介绍该中心的同时,几次强调该中心是一个民间纯技术服务机构,希望更多地了解大陆海事业以求得更多的合作.虽然,两岸由于政治原因至今尚未开放通航,但海事业也如别的行业一样,直接或间接的合作仍在陆续开展.陈先生对这种合作表示乐观,认为两岸在此方面的紧密合作将会推动全球海事业的发展.

China Corporation Register of Shipping (CR)is a pure civilian entity of technical services with a classed fleet of 500 vessels and, 6m gt. Chen Huoxiang, CR President related a series of successful examples of their cooperation with related maritime institutions in China's Mainland starting from 1993. He hopes to know more about maritime industry in China's Mainland so as to seek more cooperation. Though the two sides across the Straits have not yet opened a direct navigation for political reasons, direct or indirect cooperation on maritime affairs is well going just as in many other industries. Mr. Chen is optimistic about the cooperation and believes that the close cooperative relationship between the maritime circles across the Straits will help revitalize the maritime industry of the Chinese nation and further promote the development of the global maritime industry.
