The Wetland Ecosystem in Bitahai and its Conservation

碧塔海自然保护区湿地生态系统具有两个显著的特征,即分布海拔高并为森林生态系统所涵养。这种特殊的湿地类型,孕育了特殊的湿地植被和物种,并成为保护区主要的保护对象。根据科学考察结果,碧塔海湿地生态系统可划分为2个植被类型组、4个植被类型、18个群系。本文论及系统特点、系统植被类型,还提出系统的保护价值及保护措施。

The wetlands in Bitahai are characterized by their twodistinctive features, i.e., their high altitude distribution and theirbeing surrounded by large area of coniferous forests. This unique typeof the wetlands in the alpine region nourishes special wetland vegeta-tion types and wildlife species that become the major objectives to beprotected. A scientific investigation has shown that there are 2wetland vegetation type groups composed of 4 types, 4 subtypes and18 formations in the ecosystem of Bitahai. This paper, therefore,described the characteristics and vegetation types of the ecosystem,and accordingly put forward the value and measures of the ecosystemconservation.
