摘要
详细分析了常用于三电极交流型表面放电等离子体显示屏(AC-PDP)的寻址和显示分离(ADS)的驱动方法及其物理过程,并根据其放电原理对常规的驱动波形进行了改进。实验结果表明,改进的驱动波形简化了PDP的驱动电路,降低了对驱动集成电路耐压的要求,减少了驱动电路的功耗和成本,提高了显示的对比度。
This paper discusses in detail t he physical processes of the driving method used in the three elec-trode surfac e-discharge alternate current plasma display panel(AC-PDP).Based on the d ischarging discipline,we improved the reset-period waveform of the normal ADS driving method.Consequently,this driving waveform can lower the withstand vol tage and reduce the power dissipation of driving ICs,as well as the cost of dri ving circuit.It can also raise the contrast ratio of PDP.
