通信用塑料光纤

摘要 简要介绍了塑料光纤的开发历史和现状,介绍了塑料光纤通信的优点,尤其是在高速、短距离通信网络中的明显优势。也提到了塑料光纤通信存在着损耗大、带宽窄、耐温性差等的缺点,以及人们正在针对这方面的问题进行研究,争取使塑料光纤在未来的光纤通信中得到广泛的应用。 This paper briefly introduced the history and status of plastic optical fiber(POF).The advan-tage of POF is mainly described,specially the predominance of POF in high speed and short distance telecom munication network.At the same time the shortage of POF,such as great loss,narrow bandwidth and poor character of high temperature are also presented.At present,people are researching in this re-spects and try to make POF be widely used in fiber communication.
