城市滨水区的开发和再开发可以追溯到20世纪50年代末,而具体的开发是从20世纪60年代初开始的,如今这种滨水区的再生现象在世界各地都很普遍。近几年,随着中国城市经济的不断发展,产生了一种新的滨水区开发类型,也就是由于城市行政区划的调整而引起的滨水区开发问题在很多城市中被提出来,顺德市德胜河两岸城市景观概念性规划就是在这种背景下进行的。
