摘要
This paper shows how Max Weber explored and constructed economic sociology in his whole academic careers. Weber’s approach to economic sociology is divided into three periods in this paper. Weber’s early approach shows that he criticized the internal limits of neoclassical economic theory proceed from investigated his native development of capitalism. In the middle stage, Weber attempted to establish a new direction of analyzing “social economic phenomena,” namely, “social economics,”and also gave some research methods for it by his methodology and protestant ethic research. During the last decade of his life, Weber tried to develop a new way of analyzing social economic phenomena and laid a solid theoretical foundation for “economic sociology,” which he termed “interpretive sociology.” Finally, as a brief summary, this paper draws some ideas, which help to guide China and world economic sociology to a new development from Weber’s approaches and thoughts.
