We report that about 26 mutant strains of yeasts (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) which are all respiration deficiency mutants,whose trait is white colony phenotype on the condition of the selective culture of the TTC medium.The ultraviolet lights (UV) mutation condition lies that light strength is 15W,vertical distance is 21cm,wave length is 253.7nm and shining time respectively is 1 minute and 3 minutes,on which the number of the interest respiration deficiency mutant strains acquired respectively is 15 and 11.The acquisition of the target respiration deficiency mutant strains will make it possible to do further research of cytoplasmism genetics and give us a direction to select a strain of yeast ( Saccharomyces cerevisiae ) with the ability of high alcoholic productivity and duration of high temperature.
