介绍了数字虚拟技术应用于荆门楚文化博物馆方案设计的全过程 .在楚文化博物馆的立意构思、平面设计、外部空间造型、内部空间构成、材料及色彩设计等方面 ,虚拟现实技术均体现了极强的实时性、仿真性、交互性和灵活性 .通过电脑软件控制 ,实现了在虚拟楚文化博物馆中的全景漫游 。

The digital virtual reality technique is applied fully to the designing process of Chu_culture Museum in Jinmen. It is shown that the virtual reality(VR) technique has great characteristics of real_time, similarity, interaction and flexibility in the aspects of designing concept, plan designing, external space form, internal space compsition and material and color designing. With the control of software tools, a perspective ramble in the virtual museum is implemented. It is shown that the digital virtual reality technique has a wide prospects in the architectural field.
