The designing objective, the structure and fuction of its software and hardware are analysed, and the significance, of the abtomatic evaluating and mapping system of urban water environmental quality are discussed, It also reports some research achievements on the equiping of the hardware, the applying of the software, of above system, The establishment of such system will make it effectual for the research and mapping of urban water environment to head for automation, synthesization, modelization and systematization.
