Implications to China of Nobel Prize for Economics

诺贝尔经济学奖不是评价中国经济学成就的唯一途径。它对于中国经济学家既可能成为一种激发研究潜能的激励，也可能成为一种误入歧途的魔力。中国经济学家应当培养严谨的治学精神，以开创和繁荣中国经济学为己任，而荣获诺贝尔经济学奖只是经济学家在这一研究进程中的一个副产品。本文企图对诺贝尔经济学奖对于中国的应有含义和一些经济学家的误解作出初步分析。

Nobel prize for economics is not the only way to appraise the achievements of China's economics. It may either be an encouragement for China's economists to arouse their own research potentiabilities or be a two to go astray. China's economists should develop the vigorous spirits of scholarly research, and regard it as their duty to initate and flourish China's economics, and yet being awarded Nobel prize for economics is only a byproduct in such a research process. This paper tries to make an tentative analysis of the implications to China of Nobel prize for economics and the misunderstandings of some economists for it, and aims at declaring the scientific spirits needed in the development of China's economics.
