Solid acid TiO_2-SiO_2-Er/SO^(2-)_4 was prepared and its properties as catalyst in the synthesis of tri-n-butyl citricate were tested. The effects of the reaction factors on the esterification rate of tri-n-butyl citricate were investigated with orthogonal experimentation. The catalyst and the synthetic reaction were studied with the help of XRD, IR and BET, etc. Experimental results showed that the addition of St and Er heightened the activity of the catalyst..
