摘要
科罗纳 (Corona)是美国 60年代开发的成像侦察卫星 ,其影像的分辨率达到 2米。科罗纳影像资料在美国地面要素制图方面掀起了一场革命 ,它所收集的材料成为美国编制全世界地图的基础。本文较全面地论述了科罗纳影像用于苏联和美国本土制图的例子 ,描述了为制图活动建立大地测量控制网时所面临的困难。科罗纳项目对美国制图组织产生了深远的影响 ,刺激它深入开发新技术和调整机构设置。了解科罗纳在制图方面的应用 ,能使人学到非常有用的相关知识 ,并深入理解如何利用当前的商用卫星影像 ,有效解决制图、环境及其它科学问题。
Corona is an imaging reconnaissance satellite developed by US in 60′s.It acquired images with a resolution of 2 meters.Corona imagery revolutionized US mapping activities concerning features on the surface of the Earth.The materials collected by Corona became an important resource for US mapping applications on a worldwide basis.In this paper,the USSR and US application examples are given more complete treatments,with a description of obstacles faced in establishing a geodetic framework for mapping activities.Corona program has a farreaching impact on US mapping activities and organizations,forcing extensive changes in both exploitation technology and the organizational structure of the US mapping community.An understanding of Corona′s mapping applications provides particularly relevant and useful lessons and insights into how contemporary commercially available satellite imagery can be used effectively against current mapping,environmental,and other scientific problems on a continental or global basis.
