A new method to solve characteristic equation of Rayleigh wave in a layered soil

本文推导了成层地基的Rayleigh波特征方程及相应的位移和应力分布计算公式。分析了R波特征方程的数值运算特点。结果表明,采用常规的求解方法难以得到可靠的结果。文中提出了一种既能克服数值计算困难又具有快速运算功能的Raylielgh波特征方程求解方法,并编制了相应的计算机程序。通过算例验证了该方法的精确性和实用性。

The characteristic equation of Rayleigh wave in a layered soil is formulated. The process of the solution to the characteristic equation is analyzed and the results show that it is impossible to obtain accurate values of roots of the characteristic equation by the common computational methods. A new method that can either overcome the numerical diffculties or have less computer running time is presented and its computer program is written. The accuracy and availability of the presented method are confirmed by numerical examples.
