This paper illustrates 'Hero' P. E. advocated by Mao Zedong and its origin, simultaneously points out the influences exerted by Yang Changji' s 'teaching by personal examples as well as by verbal instruction' and Chen Duxiu' s 'brutish nature of animal'. The philosophical meaning of 'Hero' P. E. is also discussed in this paper.
