艺术家决定艺术作品还是艺术作品决定艺术家的问题一直困扰文艺学界。康德成功地解构了这一问题 :艺术家不能决定艺术作品 ,就像艺术作品不能决定艺术家一样。决定艺术家和艺术作品的是艺术。艺术既不是单纯的认识 ,也不是纯粹的实践 ,艺术归属审美存在。作为艺术家与艺术作品的本源 ,艺术审美地存在着 ,满足着审美的本质规定并以此另类于人类其他生存活动。作品意味着审美的艺术实现 ,作品的真理在于传达美的理想。

Artist can't decide artistic works,as works can't decide artist.It is art itself that decides artist and artistic works.Art is not simply cognition,not pure practice.Art belongs to aesthetic existence.As the ultimate source of artist and artistic works,art is to exist by aesthetically and meets the basic principle of aesthetic existence meanwhile,it is different from man's other living activities.Artistic works means the aesthetic reality of aestheticism.The truth of art lies in delivering the ideal of beauty and revealing aesthetic imagination.
