论素质教育在增强综合国力中的重要作用

On the Role of Quality Education in the Enhancement of Overall National Strength

实行素质教育 ,提高全体国民素质 ,是我国教育体制改革的根本出路。而未来的国际竞争 ,是以经济、科技为主的综合国力的竞争 ,归根到底是人才和国民素质的竞争。文化素质是增强综合国力的基础 ,科技素质是增强综合国力的关键 ,政治思想素质是增强综合国力的核心。因此 ,素质教育不仅是综合国力的重要组成部分 。

Practising quality education is the fundamental way out for the reform of education system of our country.A widely held view is that international competition to come will be the competition between the overall strengths of nations mainly on the economic and scientific basis,and is,in the final analsis,the compomtition between creative talents of high quality.Since quality education aims at raising the quality level of the individual and so the whole nation,it certainly has an important part to play in the enhancement of a nation's overall strength,with cultural quality the basis for such an enhancement,and moral quality the coro of an enhancemnt.In this sense,quality education is not only an inseparable part of overall national strength,but also a sign of its enhancement.
