Quality education of the college students should be and can be implemented through teaching activities of courses offered to the students.Fostering the thinking ability and developing the scientific capability are the most important tasks of the educators in higher institutions.In this article we have tentatively discussed the relationship between the knowledge of linguistics and the quality construction of the majors in English education.We have also discussed the necessities and possibilities of implementing quality education through the course of linguistics with the emphasis on how to develop their thinking ability and the scientific capability.
