The functions and characteristics of remote video monitoring and intelligent warning system and their applications at the 110 kV center of Mudanjiang Electric Power Burea and the northern unattended substation are presented. It is pointed out that this system has the function of self diagnosis, the system fault automatic isolation function, the anti lightning and overvoltage protection function. Operation show that the system performs well and satisfies and the technical requirements.
