As we have already noticed, will and shall are treated in many grammar booksas the future tense, but sometimes they do not refer to the future at all. They may indicateprobability or they may refer to habitual activity. In this article we will therefore begin with areconsideration of will and shall. Other typles of expression the time of future, for example, tobe going to, As and be about to are very common. They indicate intention or plans.
