With the rapid development of cloud computing and big data industry,data processing and storage technology are also growing vigorously.IBM,as a pioneer of server industry,is not willing to let Intel occupy the data processing market,therefore it launched POWER8,an open platform,for external customers in March 2015.To give server developers and users a quick overview of the series processors,this paper analyzes technical features and product characteristics of POWER8 to offer reference for rapid comparison and selection.
