Dissimilar in appearance but similar in essence——Gui Youguang's essay and Pu Songling's essay have the same sentiment

归有光和蒲松龄具有相似的出身和经历,二人的散文也存在相通性:其文以情感人、以悲动人,但却含蓄简练、余味悠长。他们的散文与正统道德文章相比面貌迥异,但却并不脱离儒家文化的精神气质:抒发失意文人悲情继承了《诗经》抒情言志的传统;含蓄的表达方式体现了"温柔敦厚"的美学追求;言简义丰的语言则与《春秋经》的"微言大义"存在相通之处。

Gui Youguang and Pu Songling had similar family background andlife experience,their essays also have sim ilarities.
