Zhao Xuetian's Contribution to the Discipline Found of Chinese Graphics

中国当代图学学科的建制发轫于图学教育。著名图学家赵学田教授,以毕生的精力献身图学教育、普及图学知识,教学中将机械制图最基本的投影几何知识点编成歌诀、以口诀讲授,积极倡导图学电化教学;并筹办湖北省制图学会暨全国制图学术交流会、成立中国工程图学学会、推动中国图学史——即学科历史的研究,为中国当代图学学科的建制化过程作出了贡献,他是中国图学学科建设的奠基人。

The found of Discipline of Chinese graphics originated in the graphics education. ProfessorZhao Xuetian devoted himself to the education and popularization of graphics knowledge. He willfocus on formulas of mechanical drawing to the most fundamental projective geometry knowledgeinto some poetry. He organized the Hubei Province Drawing Society and national academicconference on graphics, set up in the China Engineering Graphics Society, and promoted the researchof the history on Chinese graphics. This paper traces the institutionalization process of the disciplineof Chinese graphics, and discusses Professor Zhao Xuetian’s contribution to Chinese graphics.Professor Zhao Xuetian is the founder of the discipline construction of Chinese graphics.
