南通色织土布源于传统的农耕文化,其色彩质地显得过于乡土,图案纹样老旧缺乏新意,与现代生活需要相去甚远。从对南通色织土布材料的直接应用、提炼应用和再造应用3个方面探求南通色织土布的应用创新方法,以改变色织土布过于原始和基础的面貌,使南通色织土布回归现今。

The dyed homespun cloth of Nantong was originated in the traditional farming culture,with its rustic colors and obsolete patterns too far away from the needs of modern life. Three innovative ways are explored to apply Nantong dyed homespun cloth in modern times,namely direct application,extractive application and re-engi-neering application,so as to change the primitive appearances of the dyed homespun cloth and bring it forward to the modern times.
