Metro construction has a much great influence on historic city which hold numerous cultureheritage. Due to the heritage impact assessment of metro project is lack of related theory and method research, itis only through researching the background of the heritage impact assessment in China, can we define the conceptof heritage impact assessment of metro project. Hence, we can further understand the key issues of the historiccity metro project's heritage impact assessment, to select the proper technical roadmap to protect the historic cityand its rich cultural heritage resources, to promote our heritage impact assessment further institutionalized andstandardized.
