Objective:To investigate the effects of length of epidural tube on the anesthetic effect in cesarean section.Methods:260 cases of puerpera with cesarean section were divided into two groups randomly, with 130 cases in each group. The control group was given anesthesia with 3 cm length of epidural tube, and the observation group was given anesthesia with 5 cm length of epidural tube. The anesthetic effect of the two groups was compared. Results:There were no statistically significant differences of mean arterial pressure, heart rate and blood oxygen saturation between after anesthesia and before anesthesia (P > 0.05).The total anesthetic satisfaction of the observation group was 95.4%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(P < 0.05).The utilization rate of supplementary medicines in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).Conclusion:The length of epidural tube had significant influence on the anesthetic effect in cesarean section.
