The Missions of Contemporary Schools of Chinese Classical Studies and Academies of Classical Learning

当代国学院及书院的任务,一是"传仁义之道",即博爱精神与正义原则;二是"授仁义之业",包括典籍学习之业、伦理政治之业、日常生活之业;三是"解仁义之惑",包括究中西之际、通古今之变、成一家之言——民族国家的国学。

The missions of contemporary schools of Chinese classical studies and academies of classical learnig include: 1) topreach the teaching of benovelence and righteousness, that is, the spirits of universal love and the principles of righteousness;2) to give the lessons of benevolence and righteousness, including the lessons of classical learning, ethical politics and dailylife; 3) to resolve the doubts of benevolence and righteousness, including the exploration of the relationship between Chinaand the western countries, the understanding of the changes from the past to the present, and the establishment of our ownschhol of thought, that is, the classical learning of our own nation.
