Investigation on the Use of Smart Phone and Eye Health among Students of Two Universities in Nanjing

了解南京市两所高校大学生智能手机使用及用眼卫生情况,为制定科学的干预方法提供依据。选取江苏省南京市南京医科大学和南京工程学院两所高校,随机抽取不同专业、不同年级400名大学生进行问卷调查。52.13%的大学生每天看手机时间在2—5小时,5.76%的学生在10小时以上。超过50%者经常躺或趴着看手机及连续使用手机1h不休息,超过30%者经常在晃动处看手机及距手机屏幕过近。女生及文科生在部分不良用眼习惯方面分别高于男生和理科生。在长时间使用手机后,68.3%的人常出现眼疲劳,54.8%的人常出现眼睛干涩,19.0%经常出现畏光的不适症状,用眼姿势不当者更易出现不适症状。大学生在使用智能手机时存在使用时间长、娱乐功能使用过度、用眼过度和姿势不当等问题,社会、高校和家庭应采取适当措施加以干预,加强正确使用智能手机、保护视力的健康宣教,提高大学生对于保护视力的重视程度。

To describe the use of smart phone and the condition of eye health among students of two universities in Nanjing,and to provide a scientific basis for preventive measures of myopia.A questionnaire survey was conducted among 400 students of different grades and majors chosen from Nanjing Medical University and Nanjing Institute of Technology.52.13% of students stared at the phone screen at 2—5 hours per day,5.76% spent more than 10 hours. The rate of students often lying or lying prone to stare at their phone screen and using the phone continuously during 1 hour without a break was over 50%,and the rate of students often staring at the phone screen too close and in shaking place was more than 30%.In some bad habits with the eyes,female students tended to have a higher rate than male students,and Arts students had a higher rate than Science students.After using the smart phone for a long time,68.3% of students tended to appear eye fatigue,54.8% often appeared dry eyes,19.0% tended to appear photophobia,and improper posture were more likely to appear symptoms.Some problems that a long time using,overuse of entertainment,excessive use of eye and the improper posture in the use of the smart phone in college students.And it was of statistically significance among different gender,grades and majors.The society,universities and families is bound to take proper measures to call on college students to use smart phone in a right way and strengthen their awareness of protecting eyesight.
