摘要
S-NPP是最新一代地球环境观测卫星,可见光红外成像辐射仪(VIIRS)是其携带的重要仪器之一。VIIRS比MODIS具有更高的空间分辨率和数据质量。VIIRS作为新一代对地观测设备在林火监测中比以往设备更具优势,将在全球林火监测中发挥重要作用。
S-NPP is the latest generation of global environmental observation satellites. Visible infrared imaging radiometer suite(VIIRS) is a keystone instrument on the S-NPP. VIIRS has the higher spatial resolution and data quality than MODIS. This article analyzed the application of VIIRS in forest fire monitoring. The test results verifie that VIIRS has advantage over MODIS, and will play an important role in the future of the forest fire monitoring.
