高校图书馆读者危机及其对策

On the Readers' Crisis and Its Countermeasures in University Library

高校图书馆目前存在着比较严重的读者危机,主要表现在:每年读者平均到馆次数、图书平均流通数量和单册图书的平均流通次数相当少,读者到馆阅读时间少。造成读者危机的主要因素有:社会环境的综合影响、大学生阅读习惯的缺失、图书馆建设的滞后、图书馆员素质欠佳。应对读者危机的策略是:打造大学读书阵地,营造良好读书氛围;采取多种措施,努力满足读者阅读需求;提高馆员素质,提升服务质量。

At present, readers’crisis is relatively serious in university library, which goes as follows: the frequency of readers’ visit to library is very low, the average circulation of book is low, and readers spend less time reading in library. The reasons for the crisis are in the following: the comprehensive influence of social environment, no reading habit, the backward facilities of library, and librarians’poor quality. The strategies of handling the crisis are as follows: First, reading place needs to be made to create a good environment for reading; second, many kinds of measures needs to be taken to meet the needs of readers; third, librarians’quality needs to be boosted to improve their service.
