对外译介优秀文学作品是世界了解中华文化的一种有效途径。英文版《中国文学》对外译介中国文学及艺术作品等,使中华文化得以与英语国家的读者共享、互动。在对外译介过程中,译者基本上采用以传播中国文化为主旨的翻译策略与方法,以此增进英语读者对丰富悠久的中国传统文化的了解,加深对中国传统价值观及文化思想的认同。英文版《中国文学》成为建国后中国对外传播文化的重要载体,从而促进了中外文化交流。

Introducing the good literary works to the world is an effective way for people to understand Chinese culture. The English version of Chinese Literature translates literary & art works to foreign countries, so that Chinese culture can be shared with readers of the English-speaking countries. The translators basically use translating strategies and methods for the purpose of spreading Chinese culture to enhance the English readers' understanding the rich Chinese culture, and to deepen the readers' identity of Chinese values and culture. After the founding of the PRC, Chinese Literature becomes an important carrier of spreading Chinese culture, promoting the cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
