执法正当性信念是指民众对警察执法行为的认知与评价,以及由此产生的对应该服从警察机关、法律政策以及警察执法权威等的心理感知。影响民众构建执法正当性信念的因素主要来自于心理、社会以及警察本身三方面。程序公平感、尊重和信任是影响执法正当性信念的心理因素;社会结构、社会资本、与警察接触的经验是影响执法正当性信念的社会因素,警察执法的行为风格也会影响民众对警察执法正当性的感知。建立良好的执法正当性信念,可以提升民众遵守法律的意愿以及与警察合作的倾向性。

Police legitimacy is a kind of psychological property of an authority, institution or police that leadspeople to feel that authority, institution or police is justice and entitled to be obeyed, which reflects theacceptance by people of the need to bring their behavior into line with the law. In general, the influencingfactors come from people’s psychology, society and police, where social structure, capital and experience ofencountering with police is the main social factors. Besides, the way police enforce law influences publicfeeling of police legitimacy. Positive police legitimacy could increase the willingness of social public to obeythe law and cooperate with the police.
