摘要
文章旨在论述词汇表对于大学英语学习者的阅读理解能力以及语法项目的学习产生怎样的影响。实验部分我们采取的是前后测控制组设计,针对的语法项目是英语中的非宾格动词。来自铜陵学院非英语专业二年级50名英语学习者参与了实验。他们分别被纳入有词汇表辅助组(25)和无词汇表辅助组(25),词汇表是以汉英翻译的形式呈现给学习者。前后测采用的是非宾格动词判断测试,阅读理解部分以单项选择题作为其测评依据。结果显示,词汇表确实可以促进该语法部分的学习,但是对于阅读理解能力没有影响。
The present study attempts to investigate the effects of glosses on university students' learning of unaccusative verbs and reading comprehension ability. Pre-test and post test with control group design is adopted here. The target grammar items are English unaccusative verbs. 50 university students from A university participated in the study and they were attributed into the glossed (25) and unglossed groups (25). The gloss is presented in Chinese translation of English words. The pre and post test is in form of grammar judgment test of sentences with unaccusative verbs. The reading materials are followed by multiple choices as comprehension items.Results show that gloss can promote the learning of the grammar items significantly but have little effect on reading comprehension ability.
