英汉翻译中增补词语的原则和技巧

翻译就是把源语的语言形式表达的全部信息用译语的语言形式传达出来的过程。但因英汉两种语言都有其独特的语法结构、语义结构、修辞手段乃至不同的历史文化背景,因此,在英汉翻译过程中,译者需要根据实际情况增补词语,以符合汉语的语法规则和表达习惯。

Translation is the process of expressing the whole information of the source language into target language. But English and Chinese have their own unique grammatical structure, semantic structure, rhetorical devices and even different historical and cultural backgrounds. Therefore, in the process of translation between English and Chinese, the translator needs to add words according to the actual situation to comply with the rules of grammar and idiomatic expressions.
